Noah’s dove is a charming decorative metal sculpture made in a collaborative effort by Maor Aharon and Ariel Joshua. Maor created the beautiful illustration of the dove returning to the ark with an olive branch in her beak.
The base of the sculpture has the verse, “And the dove returned to him as evening fell.” Genesis 8:11
Maor explained that as she worked on the illustration, she found herself moved by the journey of the dove and understood the verse in greater depth. She said, “At first, the dove I drew was cute and gentle, but I understood that it needed to be strong and powerful; that peace comes from depth and fortitude, rather than softness.”
Gush Etzion metalworker Ariel Joshua did the beautiful printing and metalwork.
This sculpture makes a lovely gift for someone going through a tough time as it is a beautiful reminder of God’s steadfast love. We also love it for children’s rooms as a way to comfort and inspire imagination for the dove’s long journey!
