Yerushalmi Solom Pirate Oak Single Cask Whiskey is as unique as the Holy land on which it was crafted.
Solom means single in Latin and is a wink to the fact that this whiskey is aged in a single barrel. In the case of the Solom Pirate Oak, it called a former rum barrel home!
These Rum Casks started off as new Charred STR American Oak barrels and were used to age Yerushalmi’s in-house Rum. The Rum was then bottled and the empty barrels were filled with single malt spirits
This special single malt is a 35PPM (parts per million) peated single malt whiskey. The barley used is from Castle Malting in Belgium. The barley is dried with Scottish Mainland Speyside peat which gives it a signature smokey peat flavor with a warm creamy finish.
The whiskey is bottled at 46.3%, non-chill filtered. The gorgeous natural color, a rich brown with ruby reflections comes from the oak cask.
This is a wonderful single malt whiskey for a special occasion.
